You are a family or performance athlete that needs the best beef, and you know how to get it. You have cleared a home or work delivery freezer (likely to need 15-20 cubic feet of space), and happen to live within one hundred miles from our family farm. Shazam! You're in luck. By pre-ordering your six month supply direct from us, we can preorder most, if not all, of what cuts you may prefer, and deliver it by appointment to your door for free (terms may apply). For bulk orders, and appointment deliveries, we offer white glove services that strive to take our orders direct to you, without the need for doordashers, distributors, middlepeople, or in-store pickups. This ensures that you get the best proteins as soon as they return from our butcher, along with any custom preferences that you, and Farmer Brown, may elect.
Maybe your family prefers to buy in bulk at places like CostCo. Or, maybe you are the type of performance athlete or nutrition-conscious carnivore that demands your protein the way you consume your starches, vitamins, and workout routines. Most of the time, it is not easy to get farm family direct meats, even at Schnuck's, Dierberg's, Sprouts, Whole Foods, Winn-Dixie, or even a regional retail butcher. No worries. If you have the good fortune to be located within a two hour's drive of our farm, that we can bulk you up using our Farmer Delivered Freezer Drop.
Booking an appointment delivery with us is straightforward. Give us as much detail as you can (cell phone of who can direct us to your freezer, detailed address instructions, preferred weekday times to meet, etc) about how to reach you at home or work, and we will pre-order your bulk beef and delivery it when it is ready. Because we are a single estate black angus herd, this supply can be limited by season, weather, calving, or our butcher's season. So, please pay particular attention to our intended butcher schedule details to make sure that these times/weeks work for you. It is not uncommon for farmer direct meats to sell out their butcher runs in advance, so planning ahead is always advisable.
However, our family clients know that it is worth the wait to stock up your freezer. Farmer Brown prefers to deliver direct to your local doorstep, and can often answer other storage, handling, cooking, or secret recipe questions while your 200 pound order is placed into your freezer. Farmer Brown strives to know you and your family as well as we hope you know us and our meats. So, during peak season deliveries, we appreciate your patience and flexibility using this service because some of our family owners are not yet eligible for their own driver's license.
A direct freezer drop means your meat arrives safely frozen or near frozen (below USDA 40F temp safe food standards) typically without the need for a pickup full of brown boxes, dry ice or frozen gel packets, or any other recyclable waste products common with our UPS carrier shipments. Farmer Brown typically texts you when your order is ready, confirms your delivery time and date within the next 7-10 days, and delivers your bulk beef into your freezer or refrigerator subject to your entry and instructions. On farm or ranch pickups can also be arranged by appointment if you would prefer to come see some cows, or enjoy some fresh Ozark air after some windshield time.
Our USDA label prime or near prime meat selection provides you with the same individual cut packaging that we would supply to premium steakhouses or premier barbeque houses. For example, our Farmer Brown Grounds likely fill up the largest volume (up to 120 pounds on a 200 lb order) of your freezer space. So, our one pound bricks are packaged square with visible underside rollpacks. Unlike some custom-exempt farmer round pound beef rolls, this means that you can stack, sort, see, thaw, share, split, or portion out your dry-aged ground chuck more easily from your chest freezer. We prefer the square bricks inside kitchen refrigerators as well, as you may play frozen jinga games inside a busy family schedule. When it comes time to defrost thaw your next meal, all of our packages are microwave safe without metal clips.
Every family is different, so by buying in bulk orders, we do have some flexibility in the type of cuts or meats you may prefer. For example, you may be ordering as a single athlete who would rather meal prep your weekly proteins. If that is the case, subject to preorder and availability, we might stock up your order with our presliced, leaner cuts like our fajita strips, flat iron steaks, and philly cheese meats. Some carnivore or select diet enthusiasts want organ meats, or chuck eye crockpot roast products, which we usually accommodate. With bulk orders, we also try to balance you with some premium steak cuts to be fair to what is being requested. A particular passion of ours is introducing you to some of the farmer brown selections and/or craft seam butcher cuts that are outstanding, yet less familiar, to others.
Another great idea is gifting a bulk order to a friend or loved one if they happen to live or work near our appointment delivery zone. To do this, it important that we confirm their available freezer space, cell phone availability, and detailed delivery instructions prior to any pre-order.
If you have done bulk beef orders before, then you likely know that you want the rare cuts or recipe suggestions when they are offered. If this is your first time, no worries. We would be happy to walk you through what may work best for you - from setting up your freezer space, to how we marinate our Denver steaks. If you are still not sure how much meat that you will need this season, then try a few of our gift boxes before you go all in on bulk.
